Destiny was named a 2025 Full-Year Trac9 Top 10 Therapist Finalist nationwide in recognition of her clinical excellence and client outcomes. She is a dual master’s-level counselor in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling with over 24 years of experience across inpatient, residential, outpatient, and educational settings. She also holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation) from Winston-Salem State University.
Destiny offers a warm, grounded, and deeply empathetic approach, meeting clients where they are and creating a safe space for healing and growth. She integrates evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
Her background includes high-acuity inpatient care, crisis intervention, comprehensive assessments, group therapy, parenting education, and support for survivors of domestic violence, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has also held leadership roles developing and guiding multidisciplinary, client-centered programs.
With a personal connection to military life through her family, Destiny brings added understanding of the challenges faced by service members and their loved ones. She is an active member of Psi Chi, Chi Sigma Iota, and Golden Key International Honour Society, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence.
